Infinite download from steam

i bought crysis+warhead+crysis2 maximum ed with the winter sale and i start downloading them: crysis warhead downloaded easy and perfectly running now, while crysis 1 is still downloading, in fact when the download arrive to 97% it start to slow the downloading velocity till 0kb/s, then after few seconds it return to 10kb/s and then again down to 0 and again up to 7-8 and again down ads up for hours without end. what's the problem? are there some solution? thx to all

Reboot pc, reinstall steam (backup config+ssfn files)

HDD has still 144gb free i had try all a part from reinstalling steam

Try this quick test to see if it can be narrowed down...

Log out of Steam and boot your PC into safe mode with NETWORKING and log back into Steam there and see if the download completes. This is not a permanent solution. Only a test to see if the problem is on your computer that causes this.

Also, look at this list...make sure you check everything in blue.

Otherwise, this can be normal as long as the download does not stop forever. The disk may just be busy writing files and unpacking data and that takes time. Just wait, perhaps ? But you said this goes on for "hours" so is that actually correct ?

Thx to all of you, it resolve by itself: i casually went To a friends Who has a 30mb fiber connection and it download before i could check it! XD LOL
