ETS2 Crashes during loading

When I click 'Drive' and start loading in, at the end of loading the game just crashes.

When I check my game logs I found these errors:

 00:01:19.791 : <ERROR> Missing data for ferry item! (ferry.gedser, uid: 0x35A5A2A85BB0001)
00:01:19.853 : <ERROR> Missing data for ferry item! (ferry.portotorres, uid: 0x2FEEFBFCC9C70001) 

and

 00:02:01.071 : <ERROR> [dstorage] Batch error! This is the error code of the first failure. Invalidating all remaining requests! (0x800705AA)
00:02:01.072 : <ERROR> [dstorage] File: C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Euro Truck Simulator 2/base.scs, Chunk: 

Could anyone inform on what's happening and how I should fix it?

Most likely you just have some local file damage. In the game's rightlick -> Properties -> Installed Files you can verify the install.

Try the game forum https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/#games plus you should post your entire gamelog.txt file - you can do that in something like pastebin and generate a readable file rather than having to copy all the text in a Steam post.

Have the game and although I haven't in fact run it in years I just did and all's fine here in any case. So yes, game forum probably best; might even be DLC-specific.

ill go to SCS but right now i haven't crashed yet, i just used a different auto save file and hoped for the best. If it crashes again I'll go to the game forum or even the SCS's dedicated one

Generally the game will function correctly if you buy the game.

MS is assumedly commenting in the sense that your profile appears to be a limited one, i.e., one with not even $5 spent generally. I myself then assume you've e.g. more than 1 profile -- but that's just me.

yeah i asked them but i think they came to a conclusion that my pc was not up for ETS2. [too dogwater] I just reloaded it and to ensure it wasnt my pc im using barebones settings [1280 resolution and most things are set to low]

From bought to gifted in a short period of time. Regardless, it would function most likely correctly if it was purchased or even gifted. Your badges don't show any games owned, which should include gifts and redeemed games.

Make sure you're on an account that actually owns the game if you want it to run correctly.

If you follow the link to the ETS2 hub and look at his thread there you will see the little mouse icon; he owns it.

Odd, the badge should reflect gifted games or redeemed keys. Wonder if it's not doing that because the account is Limited.

Someone will likely give the cause in the thread. Game patches fairly frequently as well just like ATS.
