blue screen but not BSOD
Every time I try open one game on steam (atm it's only steam games that is doing that), it just starts normally then a few secconds later it turns into a blue screen, but isn't the death one from the pc itself, I already did all the updates, removed them too, did a reset and nothing, idk what to do for it to stop.
You can see what is my problem here: https://youtube.com/shorts/Qto8JbmexLg?feature=share

1) OP never provide any of his CPU Specs at all

thus as a result

no one here can give a proper answer and solutions to his problem.

--------------------------------------------------

also, kindly take note that Steam Platform no longer support Windows 7 at all.

if OP is using Windows 7, then the problem lies with it since he never upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 11.
You are aware that on some systems, especially if the Windows build is in fact 10 and from before the major 2020/21 update that could be one issue, but I found that on some systems, like mine, one of these recent Windows Updates has broken the permissions of Windows Shell Experience Host.

There is another issue that is causing BSoD on some systems pertaining Windows Framework which was remedied two weeks ago with Windows Update.

Seemingly, if OP is running Win10, I suspect it is the permissions of the Windows Shell but it goes without saying OP should also run DISM in PowerShell/Terminal (Admin):

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

using this command rn, trying what yall saying to help me, gonna try the explorer new task later

Yeah, it's not a BSOD. The Windows shell is basically an Explorer.exe process, and it has crashed. If you bring up task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del > Task Manager), click Run New Task and type explorer.exe <enter>, it should bring your taskbar and desktop back.

So the question is: Why is that one game crashing all running explorer.exe processes?

I'm afraid I don't know the answer.

I tried it and still the same :steamsad:

Could be a overheating with the pc for the game. This is usually caused by older drivers or software or old hardware that is failing or about to die. Could you check the temperature on your pc when you open the game? You can get a temperature checking program online for free. Google it. Then run it while loading up your game.

The other issue is it could be a PSU issue. The BSOD usually happens alot with either overheating issues or PSU issues. Usually when these happen, like you said, there is no error information given. This is a dead giveaway that this is one of these two problems.

The last possibility is your pc does not meet the requirements for said game. Could you list the game and your Operating System on here to compare them?

Your still using 22h2? The current build is 23H2. Your version is outdated. You can read about it here:

That blue screen issue could be because your using a outdated version of windows 11. There are alot of issues with earlier versions of windows 11 that are pretty bad. I STRONGLY suggest upgrading to the 23h2 build.

I understood, I looked and doesn't seem to have a update yet for me, maybe I can try to install the update from the outside, as the Microsoft website says it is possible
