Need help. "No Internet games responded to the query"
I haven't played Halflife2:DeathMatch2 since I've upgraded my computer to Windows 10(October), but yesterday I had an itching to play. So I reinstalled it through steam.

Actually, let me back up a little. Before I can even get steam to connect to the internet. I had to put the launch setting of -tcp to even get steam to function correctly on the internet.

This is all new to me because I've never had to do anything special for Steam to function normal. Anyway, pushing on forward and I now can't get any server listings for Deathmatch 2 or any game for that matter.

I've disabled my anti-virus and firewall and still get ""No Internet games responded to the query". I've even went as far as disabling the router firewall, deleting all the files in steam folder except steam.exe and steamapps, double checking my firewall for all correct steam settings(when firewall is on), and even adding -tcp to launch settings for deathmatch2.

What gives? I'm going through hoops here to just play anything through steam.

I'm pretty dumbfounded by this even after scouring the forum boards for similar incidents. All help will be appreciated.

When you say any games which other games have you tried without success? Also HL2/HL2DM are fairly dated games today, servers may be far and wide between, have you tried altering your search requests, increaseing ping, ticking the box for non-VAC servers too, just to see if anything at all comes up?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I understand they are dated, but a few of the servers I play on are still active and alive and well.

No games query with results. Nothing. The entire server list is broken for any game I choose under the "Game" section of the Server List. Also, any favorites I have in the list show as "Not responding".

I have adjusted everything possible in the "Server" listing. Nothing results in anything other than "No Internet Games responded to the query".

If yours is working, try Halflife2:deathmatch. You'll see servers populate.
