Tbh, hdd space is cheap compared to what 80GB drives used to be $80 yup $1 per GB, now you can get 2TB drives $70 usd or $90cdn even 3TB only hits $107 cdn and if you've got 2-3TB drives full of games maybe skip a game and buy a drive.
Basically.
I myself have a 2TB HDD and 1TB SSD dedicated entirely to steam games and they are already half full.
clear browser history
delete windows system restore points now n then, or disable it entirely
Lower windows pagefile amount
Limit the installed games to ones you frequently play, or those that have a higher chance of being played.
Or limit the games you install to a certain size
Could always compress the drive, but thats kinda ehh..
bout all you can do really.
it would be in your best interest to save up for a 1TB or 2TB drive though, it comes in handy at times when you have to reinstall Windows or install a new OS.
Once upon a time games came on a disk and I can install the game quicker than I can down load it,and a click to uninstall it
Took battlefield bad company 2 for a spin last week. The good old days when you owned the game
I have a 3 TB drive and there's no chance I need to have that many games installed right now.
on a desktop its easy, most mobos have 6 sata ports
even if one is used by a cd/dvd/bd drive you can add 4 mroe hdds
