Community banned

Hello, I recently got reportbotted by some guy who ended up getting my account community banned, and now I need to provide proof of the CD Key that was used while creating this account, I have searched about it and it said to click on a game and then u will see the CD key option, but there just isnt any there, at first they asked me to give my address, last 4 digits of my credit card number, but then they said "This isnt enough" I need your help and figure out if there is any other way to get this community ban lifted since I dont have the CD key.

okay thank you, Its actually pretty funny / stupid story, I play CS:GO and I use Leetify to track my progress, and im also in their discord, so 3 days ago I sent a clip of me getting 5 kills and the guy who reportbotted me saw I had knives and gloves so he decided to reportbot me, I got all the screenshots n ♥♥♥♥ and he ended up getting banned from their sites, this guy keeps taunting me every day by sending dancing gifs, once I get unbanned I guess I will send picture of it and send a gif back

you dont need to. Also community wide? What did you do? That is not automatic that is always seen by someone. In the community ban message there should be an option to appeal.

Actually, there is such a thing as automatic community bans. They will trigger if you get banned from multiple game hubs in a short period of time.

I call BS. i have multiple options to contact support. Also why are the other options cropped out?. Also you would have a message about your ban if you are community banned. In there is a link to safely appeal your ban. I have no clue why you are using the option you used. Ether you are trying to access someones account. Or you dont know what you are doing. Im betting on the second more generious option.

Actually, there is such a thing as automatic community bans. They will trigger if you get banned from multiple game hubs in a short period of time.

2. I get the feeling we are not getting the full story.
3. Just block the dude.
4. Report the dude if he keeps doing it.
5. Report botting is not a thing. There is always a mod that looks into it. That is why i dont believe you tell the full story. If you are game community banned you still can make a steam discussion post in the main steam discussions.

There are "game hub" bans and "community bans." No such thing as a "game community ban."

Game hub bans only apply to the given game hub. Community bans block all access to any Steam community feature. Even adding, removing, and blocking people is temporarily disabled for the length of the community ban.

But yes, reportbotting is not a thing because bans are not based on quantity of reports. I do think there's more to the story but it's impossible to know. From looking at the screenshots and tickets though, the community ban does appear to be real, and OP made the wrong type of ticket and now Steam support thinks he's trying to recover his account, which he obviously isn't.

that is a discord ban message. That is a bot you can use in discord to ban people in BM. battlemetrics. and thus from your own server. That is not banning from a community hub. Not much information in that message too.
