Help with my Joystick

A few days ago I configured a generic controller, play station 3, I was able to play and everything was fine, when I reconnected the y axis of the left stick it didn't work, I can't go forward or backward, I saw the configuration and it didn't appear configured, it was deleted, They appeared to me as if there was nothing, I cannot configure it again, I don't know how and every time I modify the template it is not saved, I ask for help to be able to play calmly, several of the games I prefer to play with a controller, please.

Hace unos dias configure un mando generico, play station 3, pude jugar y todo bien, cuando me volvi a conectar el eje y del stick izquierdo no funcionaba, no puedo avanzar o retroceder, vi la configuracion y este no aparecia configurado, se borro, me aparecian como si no hubiera nada, no puedo configurarlo de nuevo, no se como y cada vez que modifico plantilla esta no se guarda, solicito ayuda para poder jugar tranquilamente, varios de los juegos los prefiero jugar con mando, por favor.

Ya lo pudiste arreglar? tengo el mismo problema, mas o menos lo pude arreglar (tengo que volverlo a hacer siempre que vuelvo a prender la pc). Lo que hice fue desmarcar todas las casillas en "ajustes generales del control" menos la de "control genérico", después configurar los botones/sticks que estén mal en "definir plantilla" y guardar sin tocar nada ni compartir, se desconecta el joystick y rápido desmarco y vuelvo a marcar la casilla de mi control. En "definir plantilla" podés ver que los ajustes se guardaron y hay que darle a cancelar para no volver a hacer lo de antes.
Bueno esto me sirvió a mi, si tenés una solución mejor/permanente por favor decímela xd

There is issue re-defining but defining should be ok, so we want to clear the mappings then define. It's best to clear manually as via Steam can still be problematic.
You can delete the mappings with precision or just remove a file (will have to re-do some Steam settings and re-login if you choose the remove file route - not a big issue but I prefer the precise method)

With precision:
- Quit Steam
- go to [Steam Installation Folder]\config\
- open config.vdf with Notepad/text editor
- search for: SDL_GamepadBind
- clear the mapping(s)

(or could fix the mapping in the file. If you can identify the mapping for your controller, edit the one that has the crc in the mapping e.g "...lefttrigger:a3,righttrigger:a4,crc:1234")

- Save and close file
- Start Steam and define controller

Hooly molly mate thanks for all I've been fu**ing with this problem since day 5,Mortal Kombat 1 when I'm connected via Bluetooth does not see my touchpad, although everything works in the test and calibration, and the mk does not react,everything worked only through the cable, but I paid 70 euros not to play through the cable, thank you more,you made my day
