No the linking is done on EA's end which Steam has no access to.
To play our games on other platforms, you need to link your platform accounts to your EA Account. This includes PlayStation Network IDs, Xbox Gamertags, Steam accounts, Epic Games accounts, Amazon accounts, and Google Stadia accounts.
EA sees an a Steam account connecting to their service. If it's unknown, they prompt the Steam user to associate it with an EA account. From that point forward, any time that Steam account connects to the service, it's automatically associated with the particular EA account. So it's up to EA to disassociate a connecting Steam account from that particular EA account.
yeah, that ea customer support was on crack, because she told me that i can unlink the ea account from steam,I've made a steam ticked and they told me that it is impossible.
All linking, unlinking is done on EA's end.
1) Go to the EA Account settings portal.
2) Click on Connections.
3) Find the account you want to unlink, and click the Unlink button next to it.
4) Read the disclaimer and make sure you want to unlink, knowing all the risks above.
5) Check the box next to I understand and wish to continue.
6) Click Unlink.
