Add filter to library that hides games from family sharing
I'm not sure where to raise this given this touches both family sharing and the steam library. It would be very useful to my family (3 steam accounts) if we could filter games by those that the current account owner owns.

The main use case here is my family has a Steam Deck and multiple computers. If I, the account with the most titles, am playing a game on my desktop while my spouse decides to play a game on the Steam Deck there is no easy way to quickly see what titles they own in their library versus what is shared from my account. Sure they can look at each individual title and see the "from the library of X" next to the green play button. The ask here is to have a option to limit the list from all titles shared on the device to just titles owned by the currently logged in account.

To be explicit, we want to continue to share titles with one another across our devices. This library sharing lack-of-filter-issue is not specific to the Steam Deck either. Is there a way to currently sort/filter a library by titles the account owner owns explicitly (i.e. not via family share) today? If not, can we have this feature in a future update. :-)

Edit1
===

To clarify the request I am going to try to outline what I'm requesting with an example. Lets assume there are two accounts, Account1 and Account2, that each have family sharing enabled with one another.

Account1
* Game1
* Game2
* Game3
* Game4

Account2
* Game2
* Game3
* Game5
* Game6

As family sharing exists today if either account were to view their "library" six games would be listed. If Account1 were to attempt to play Game5, next to the green Play button there would be the text "from the library of Account2". This is similar to if Account2 were to select Game1 from their library and see "from the library of Account1".

The feature request is to have a toggle somewhere in the library section of Steam, for both Desktop and Steam Deck interfaces, where one could select "view only games I own" or "hide family share games". The expected result would appear as follows

Account1 (viewing with family share titles enabled)
* Game1
* Game2
* Game3
* Game4
* Game5
* Game6

Account1 (viewing with family share titles hidden)
* Game1
* Game2
* Game3
* Game4

Each user you are borrowing from has their own category in the games list column on the left.

Thanks for your reply `cSg|mc-Hotsauce` but that is not what I am asking for. I do realize the dropdown on the desktop client allows for a selection of "group by library" and therefor I can see games that are shared to me via another person. What I am asking for is that when looking at my list of games the ability to hide, or filter out, games that are shared with me from another users/accounts library.

I fear that you have also misunderstood my request / inquiry. I have included a "Edit" section in my original post to hopefully clear any future misunderstanding or ambiguous wording.

I found that one can add a "shelf" to their library and then select "My Games" on the steam Desktop. This is exactly what I am looking for on the desktop experience. I cannot find an analog of this feature on the Steam Deck UI. Does anyone know where this is? Also, if I should be asking this question on another forum thread that information would be useful so I can create a thread there.

https://store.steampowered.com/libraryupdate <-- Has some information on the "custom shelf" I mention above.

The only solution I found in the Steam Deck UI was to "sort by date added to library" and that will at least put a date under all the games you've purchased, while all the other games are sorted underneath.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
