will my games disappear if they become paid?
for instance, if i play a free-to-play game, it will appear on my library and i will be able to play it whenever i want. but, what if that game become paid? am i still gonna be able to play it?

I don't think that has ever happened. They may have added some paid content on top and such, but I don't think a free game has ever (reverted to) paid. So don't worry about it.

If a game (on steam) is free to claim for a limited period due to an anniversary or something, it'll be yours forever.

Some early access game are free during early access but turn to paid games when or if they release.

Well, guess who has early access games disabled in his store preferences. :rfacepalm:

Wouldn't know what happens in those cases.

I'm just listing the scenario that happens most of the time. You are a good one for filtering out that mess.

In the exact scenario you describe, you will lose access to it.

If a game that was free to play now costs $5 then I assume what would happen is the publisher would pull all the free to play licenses. Anyone who didn't buy the game would no longer own it.

But I don't think it's the kind of thing that happens very often, outside of early access.
