does the steam authenticator send you phone calls?
ive been getting a lot of trades declined because i dont have it, and i dont want calls going to my phone, so does it send you calls?

No, once enabled you get the Steam Guard codes and confirm trades/listings directly from the app

No, it does not call your phone. It does not send you SMS messages other than the initial set up and if you select the option in cases where you forget your password.

You will get ONE SMS to set the authenticator up.
After that, you only need wifi/mobile data to confirm trades.
SteamGuard codes are generated locally and do not need any mobile data or wifi.

There are no calls.

The app just sits on your phone and provides a code for when you wish to login to the client. You don't even have to log into the app for this. For trading and the market, it is a very convenient feature and as already said, you will not be bothered by anything as it doesn't SMS message, call or even give you alerts.
