Bot Gautam Fang Pending Ban

Hi i was recently contacted by some random guy on discord informing me that some1 used my steam url and scammed him and i was told to msg and add this "dude" (on both steam and discord_ Gautam Fang. I gave quite alot of info except for the recovery code sent to me via my email account and since then after contacting quite a number of my friends they said it was a scam thus i blocked both the random dude and this gautam fang dude. Do let me know if there is such thing as a pending ban scam and also if this gautam fang is a legit steam support as im kinda freaking out right now as i spent alot of money on this account and it has been wif me for close to 7-8 years and i would rlly be sad and depressed if my account got banned for something i didnt do

Someone is attempting to scam you. Report, block, tell your friends.
Report and block that other dude too... in fact everyone involved. Let Valve sort them out.

There is no such thing as a pending ban. Either you are or you aren't.
Steam/Valve will never contact you outside of steam. Trust me you'll now the difference.

And if you gave this guy ANY info you should consider enabling steam guard, deauthorizing all other machines with one button click (and re-add any legit trading sites if needed) and change your steam account's login password.

Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Change your password on a secure device.

Generate new back up codes. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Revoke the api key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Make sure you report all involved on Discord too as they are hot at dealing with stuff like this right now.

I just got hit up by this guy as well. Lucky for him I am having an awful day and in the process of losing a pet so he got the steam wallet card he wanted but continued to try and get more
