Hi all. Just got my new G923 pc/ps4 wheel. For some reason steam picks up that it is a Xbox layout. Help! Is there anyway to change this?

If STEAM picks it up as an XInput device, that's because the wheel identifies itself as an XInput device.
There's a related possible situation. That would be Steam picking it up as an input device and mapping it to XInput because that's what games generally speak.

If the game you want to play supports the wheel natively, disable Steam's input mapper so it won't get in the way.

Have you checked if the device identifies itself as XInput?

How would I do that? I brought the PC/PS4 version so would hope that it ids as PS4 and not xbox

It's in Steam settings. Valve oddly calls it "configuration support". That's to disable Steam's mapper.
