The USB has a lot of space still on it so I will most likely try the first option, if it doesn't work I'm just gonna need to probably get something new lol

There IS a way to do it without a separate utility like PortableApps by using command prompt and a command that adds (I'm sorry I can't remember the command it's been so long I've done it or I would surely share that trick! bootsec makes a USB drive bootable but that doesn't make programs on it run...it's something else, I think) schtuff to the flash drive that makes programs on it run from it.
