Good free Visual novels?

So after I played Danganronpa, steam has started recomending alot of VN games, but many of the ones that that look good are quite pricey for me even with the sale (Like steinsgate), so I was wondering if there were good free VN that could get me more into the genre before I spend money on the better ones.

Just out of curiosity, is Danganronpa the only visual novelesque thing you have played? Becausethre are some free ones outside of steam like Katawa Shoujo, and there are a few cheap visual novelesque things like:

Though Soul gambler is really short, and most of the cheap stuff is really short.
Though these free ones that we reccomended are actually not short at all.

I've played a few when I was younger, but I remember nearly nothing about it, so Danganronpa is the only one I can say I've really played

Our Life: Beginnings and Always. I just started playing this. What they have up for free is AMAZING!! All the DLC is $8.00. Totally worth it.

depends on price: cheap VN games are very decent: low quality images, no voice acting, no cg gallery. here are my 2 recommendations:

1. cheap one: https://store.steampowered.com/developer/pf almost all games from PixelFade Inc are fun, and great + cute voice acting
2. expensive one: YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world or DATE A LIVE: Rio Reincarnation are probably the best VN games i've ever played on Steam

TrymenT - Outstanding CG Gallery, many beautiful images and a great story

Being a DlK - kinda adult VN, but very funny, high rated on Steam. But Steam version has only Season 1. Dr PinkCake is an amazing artist, and It's definitely worth a shot.
