Credit card missuse
So, someone stole my credit card and made a rather large purchase on steam. I dont want to pay for it, but im afraid that if i cancel it, that there account may be deleted. I dont want to terminate someones fun, because when i was a kid, i took money from my mom.

It was only 200 dollars or so but im in a tight situation and i cant afford that right now.

My full question is, what will happen if i cancel my card.will there account be marked? will it be shut down? Will they not be allowed to purchase until it is payed off? I really dont know.

The account in question will be suspended. It will only be terminated in really extreme cases.

It was fraud on their part. Kid or not, they need to learn a lesson.

The account will be locked, but previous games will remain.

Cancelling your card isn't enough. You will need to initiate a chargeback if you want your $200 $600 back.

Also, you will not be able to use that particular card anymore. Easy enough to request new card from bank.

tbh dude, if someone stole my credit card and did this, i wouldnt give 2 hoots about thier account being "shut down" they kinda deserve it as its fraud.

Hmm, thats gunna suck for that ♥♥♥, serves him right, just called up my bank, turns out it was 600

So...you're saying someone stole your actual credit card and then out of some cosmic coincidence happened to use it to purchase $600 worth of items on Steam on a verified Steam account using your credit card.

And according to you, you don't want to cancel the charges because you "dont want to terminate someones fun" because apparently you find having your personal credit card stolen to be humorous somehow.

Wow, that just sounds like the darnedest thing.

Sounds liken they were trying to see what would happen when they use a credit card they stole.

Anyway; a liar at the very least.
