Can't Buy Anything
I cannot buy anything. I was able to not too long ago (3 hours ago) and was wondering if any one else is having issues as well? I was able to on the client and it was stopped then I did it through browser and it worked then stopped. Every time I try I get this message:

"This payment method is currently unavailable for use. We are working to resolve the issue. Please select another payment method for your purchase and try again."

Before anyone asks if I have enough money: I was able to buy groceries while waiting an hour as per a different packet of info I read up on suggested and after 75 minutes I got the same message. I went to the ATM to check my balance and saw I had more than enough to make the purchase and that I could make a purchase at the gas station on the way back.

Is Steam down or going through yet another host of problems like always?

You can find all your purchases here, even the failed ones. https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithPurchase
Click it and see if you learn more or get some options to solve it.

You can also wait a bit, maybe an hour or two and see if it works. I bet they are just a bit overwhelmed with purchases right now. As you can see with the graphs here they have busy servers right now. https://steamstat.us/

All I see are the ones that were approved, not a single one regarding anything that didn't go through concerning the message I first wrote about.

Still having the same issue. Seems like I cannot buy a single thing right now. This is totally ridiculous.

Contact support.
Again, if you click your failed purchase attempts there should be a option to make a ticket there.

Or just go here https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpCompletePackagePurchase
and search for the thing you are trying to buy and contact support there.

I have done that and they replied about a new device connected to Steam Guard and how it will take 7 days to life the restrictions. I have not connected anything to Steam Guard except my Computer when they mandated I do it for the account when they first rolled it out.

Did you contact them the way I suggested? If not, what category did you use?
You could post the the full question and answer if you want, sounds like a misunderstanding.

This is about buying stuff on the store right? Not on the market?

I asked the following per what you suggested:

"I have an issue purchasing anything from the Store. I seem to be able to buy steam credit but not able to use it for the purchasing of anything from the Store. Is there a restriction on my account Im not aware of?"

This is the answer I recieved back:

"You have recently authorized Steam Guard on a new device. As a result you are unable to trade or use the Community Market on this device for 7 days.

If you have another device that has been authorized for more than 7 days you may trade or use the Community Market on that device.

Steam Support is unable to remove this restriction upon request. If you are using a browser, please ensure that Steam cookies are not being deleted and there are no browser addons or security settings blocking cookie creation.

Please read the following FAQ for more information on protecting your account with Steam Guard."

I have not authorized anything on connectivity to Steam Guard since 2013. I've used the same account and my computer changed in 2016 but never was an issue then. When I followed up to this question with a further question asking why I cannot use my account to purchase anything since its been not an issue for 4 years but now is, it has fallen on deaf ears and haven't heard anything back.

All it seems is for some reason Steam is terrible like always and I'm getting screwed because of their terrible product and cannot purchase anything due to their error. If I hadn't invested so much money into games on their platform I'd have left this service due to terrible customer service and an answer for a question blamed on something that is their fault but them trying to tell me it's my issue and they will do nothing.

No I have no. Nothing has changed except I cannot purchase anything and Steam is being terrible and trying to say its due to Steam Guard.

2 more days of waiting. its ok. you have more than enough time to buy things. sorry about that.

And you were trying to use the steam store to purchase a game or something like that right? What was the game?

That is if its even accurate. I read another issue and it wasn't what Steam claimed (Pretty much this,) and they could do nothing with their account due to Steam saying it was a Steam Guard issue. 3 months of no buying power but rather just gifting their own purchases to themselves through a second account.

This is a Steam issue and not something I have done. Again for those that did't see earlier I have connected NOTHING to Steam Guard since 2013. This is Steam being terrible.

- DLC for Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2013
- Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun
- Kerbal Space Program

I tried purchasing them all at once. When there was an issue first mentioned on they could not process my order, I tried just one of the above. Same thing. I even tried a free game and again same issue.

And you can't reply to that ticket you got a response to?

I would write "You must have misunderstood my issue, I'm not trying to buy stuff on the market or trade items. I'm using the store to buy games. Please help me understand why this happened at least".
