Portal 2's source code license for building own game based on it (free mod)
Hi, everyone.
I have question about creating a modification for Portal 2. The modification should be free, without any commerce. I want to change some things (increase the number of projected textures, add some NPCs from Half-Life 2 (they are not in Portal 2), edit GAMEUI from newer builds).

So, I have a question how to get the source code for Portal 2, as I know many games have used Portal 2-branch (The Stanley Parable, INFRA and etc.). I have absolutely no idea where to look, the only thing I know is e-mail from Source-SDK-2013. There's no clear information where to look.

PS: I'm sure I choosed the wrong topic.

The assets are available through the Steam SDK which you can find in the tools section of the Steam client library.

It's just that I can use a license for free mod, but no, how to contact and how to get the source code of Portal 2 (maybe I don't see or understand something).
