Friend list bug
today I noticed some of my friends were missing from my friend list and I asked other and they said they lost friends too. is anyone else experiencing this bug?

Doubt it's a bug, Steam simply gives no notifications if someone removes you.

the person i talked too said he never removed me. and it was suddenly i went form 20 friend to like 15

Maybe some of the others did, culling friend lists is pretty commonplace by now, though losing around 5 at the same moment does seem odd. You might find a few clues through tracking down the profiles of those who went missing.

i mean i don't really care about the other few but the one that i talked too was my boyfriend and it was just weird because he wouldn't just outright delete me

ok just got messages back from 2 other and they said they never deleted me.

Might be nickname changes talking, can make some profiles harder to distinguish.

they dont really change anything on their profile. this is weird
