Information on steam support for PS4 controllers

So I have read in a few places that steam now natively supports the PS4 controller, however it does not stipulate if it is the v1 controller or the v2 one.

Also I was wondering can you use the touchpad bit on the PS4 pad within games like you would the haptics on the steam controller (have one of those too).

Finally, when using a PS4 pad within steam, can you change profiles like you can with the Steam controller, or is it just seen in the game as a "controller" like the xbox pads normally are.

Currently DS4 support is limited to the Steam Client Beta. You may want to try asking people in that forum.
