~600 MB game update following account switching on my PC
Hello everyone.

Few weeks ago, I asked here if using two different Steam accounts on my PC can create any problems to one of the accounts because one of my friends was coming to stay in my house temporarily and I was thinking of letting him use his own Steam account on my Laptop so he can play Rocket League, and people told me that it's okay.

My friend came and now we switch our Steam accounts every time one of us wants to play the game, and so far no problems occurred except for one annoying thing. Whenever I open my account after him, I get an update which is around 600 MB.

At the first time I thought it was his saved replays, but I've been getting it every time we do this so apparently it's not his saved replays; and surely it's not related to Steam Cloud or anything about data synchronizing since the update appears as a "Rocket League Update".

Is there a fix to this issues? I don't want to waste 3 GB every week like this. Thanks in advance!

Nah, he is more of a casual player. He doesn't use Workshop content and stick to playing the game normally.

To be clear, you get this 600mb update when switch between both accounts, as in if you switch to his account you end up having 600mb update again, or is it just your account that getting the 600mb update everytime?

Did you do the update? And if so does it still come back?

Yes, when I download that update nothing changes... Like literally nothing.
Any yes it always come back. Every time I let him play the game (Rocket League), I end up having no choice but to download this meaningless update in order to play the game.

I can only think of few things, possible DLC's between both you, and him, maybe appmanifest_252950.acf that in the Steam > Steamapp folder not correct.

Do this, when you finish updating the game, copy the appmanifest_252950.acf, make new folder, call it back up acf or something, paste a copy in that folder, and when happens, just copy .acf files from your back up folder, and paste in the Steamapp folder to replace, and restart Steam, and see what happens.
