(SOLVED) FPS counter appears on top left of screen everytime, please help
I know this has been discussed a lot over the years in the steam community but I have been researching online for solutions and haven't found one ever since. I have no softwares installed but a green fps counter keeps appearing in-game every time a game launches, and it's getting annoying tbh. Any clues on what it is and how it can be resolved?

Check your steam settings

1. Click on "Steam" on the top left corner
2. Select "Settings"
3. Go to "In-Game"
4. From there, verify your "In-game FPS counter", you can select either "Off", "Top-Left", etc.

I do hope this has helped you

I've tried it and I don't think that worked.

Check if the game's own FPS counter is turned on. That font doesn't appear to be Steam's FPS counter.
Julien, cut it out. Jan 13, 2020 @ 10:12am
The green FPS counter might also be due to Geforce Experience's enabled FPS Counter.

The own game's fps counter is not turned on so I'm positive of that. Plus, I'm also pretty sure that there is no GeForce Experience enabled on my pc cuz im using an RX580 and an AMD Ryzen

Try multiple games. Pretty sure it's not shadowplay or Steam.

I know it is not Steam because it is not bold. It looks just like Shaowplay's counter...

And FFXV doesn't have a green FPS counter.

I found this thread: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1133668-how-to-get-rid-of-green-fps-counter-with-beeping-sound/

Apparently it might have something to do with Radeon's Anti-Lag feature. When Anti-Lag is enabled, this fps counter appears. I got an AMD Graphicscard and haven't seen that fps counter when Anti-Lag is enabled, though. I'm on 20.1.1.

Via CTRL+SHIFT+O can the Radeon Ingame Overlay be en-/disabled, but I don't think that FPS counter is part of that overlay.

OMG that's how it actually looks like on my screen!!! It seems that both of our fps copunter looks awfully similar, although I don't remember installing Shadowplay. How do I uninstall or disable this feature? I can't find this app anywhere on my PC

It looks the same because that's your screenshot.

Nvidia Shadowplay comes with GeForce Experience.

But the problem is that I'm not using an NVIDIA GPU. I'm using Radeon RX580 so I won;t be able to have access to Nvidia Geforce Experience anyways
