Do I have to get Steam password change link then log into my account?

I had changed my account password few weeks before, although my PC steam account was always online. But when i woke up this morning, my phone app is asking me to re-enter password again. Unfortunately, I forgot the password which i changed several weeks before, so I couldn't log in. Then, I had tried the changing the new password on PC steam, but it mentions that I need to get confirmation from my phone steam app. Man, COMN, I coudn't even log into my phone app, how am i suppose to confirm it ???? Does anybody have any idea how to change password while I couldn't log in to phone app?
I have already sent the eemail to steam supp which tells them if they can send me the password change link so i can re-enter my new password!

It's up to you to remember your password.

They are encrypted, and no one knows your password but you.

If people could "ask for their password" how quickly would these forums be FILLED to the BRIM with "my account got stolen!!" messages.

So, use your brain. Remember your password.

You dont need to login the app for the codes.
Just DONT disable or delete the app now!

Use the codes it displays to change your password.


For the future, if you enable 2 factor auth anywhere,
the most important thing is to make sure
that you have as many ways as possible to remove it. (Steam: recovery code and backup codes)

Do NOT remove it now. I just added this info. As you even did not store your password.

Also use a passwordmanager to keep your passwords. For example keepass.

You could also invest a smidge of energy into a password manager, among other things to reduce the temptation of using the same few passwords everywhere.
