Any time I open steam, it forces aero off, wtf why is there no option to disable this

Plain and simple, why is there not an option to disable this "feature"? I need aero on to record and stream, and I like aero on in general, and my PC can handle any game with aero on.

What idiot decided it was a good idea to force disable aero on people and not provide an option to stop this?

its an option in windows settings, ya need to disable it, cant remember where its located tho atm

think its called something disable desktop effects on low performance or something similar

Usualy related to your gpu and drivers. Windows 10 doesnt use AERO so you must be running windows 7.

found it go to advanced system settings > performance > adjust for best performance
works in win10 as well as you can force enable aero for transparent taskbar preview tab and more

Disable HW acceleration in Steam.
