Can't install a CD-ROM DLC

I've downloaded the Sims 3 base game and all DLCs via Steam onto my laptop - except for one that I couldn't find on here; Katy Perry Sweet Treats.

I managed to find a physical disc copy of Katy Perry Sweet Treats in CEX. But, when I tried to install it via my disk drive, it says "This product requires an installed copy of the Sims 3".

So, obviously, the disk isn't aware of the Sims 3 Steam files, and/or vice versa. Katy Perry Sweet Treats isn't the most essential of the Sims 3 DLCs, so it's not the end of the world if there's not a solution, but is there any way to complete my collection at last?

All retail version of Sims 3 DLC/PACKS only activate on ORIGIN.
So the game is looking for the ORIGIN installation of Sims 3 and cant find it since the game is installed in your Steam folder.

But on the other hand there is good news, you can register your Steam version Sims 3 keys on ORIGIN and get a free copy of the game/DLC on there.
And the Katy Perry Pack will work there.
