Nintendo Switch Pro Controller not recognized by Steam?
I wanted to make use of the newly added Switch Pro Controller support in the Beta Client, but Steam just wont detect it. No matter if connected via bluetooth or USB. I tried reinstalling the controller aswell as restarting Steam & the PC, no results.

pls help

I had to uninstall the services that came with ProConXInput (an uninstall.bat was thankfully included).
Controller immediately worked in Steam afterwards (Xeno2 edition btw.).

Do you have the Xeno2 controller?

The new beta client update should have resolved the issue.

No, it's the Splatoon Edition. But it shouldn't matter, right?

Yeah. It shouldn't. Just in case.

I have the same issue, have tried restarting steam and my PC, different USB ports both 2.0 and 3.0 in case maybe that was the issue, different cables and still nothing. But windows picks it up just fine, Steam sees absolutely nothing. My guess is probably wait for updates at this point.

Thank you for the reply, and yes, this was the solution! I already read it on youtube so I got it going already but this is the right answer!

I tried manually uninstalling ProconXinput but steam still won't detect the controller :(

Did you use any other software besides that? I used one for the CEMU emulator however it still works even with that software installed

EIther way, always make sure to be in:
opted into the Beta, restart your PC and Steam, make sure your Controller is seen as Pro Controller by windows

also, you say manually uninstalling? Why? Just use the uninstall batch program to remove it properly
