The passwords were encrypted. There was no billing information.
Email addresses, usernames, and IP addresses were exposed, with some other detail not worth much.
All in all, a "minor" breach in this day and age frankly. Did you get up on your high horse like you were someone's Dad and talk a bunch of nonsense about this a year ago?
You probably deserve the ban.
No I did not. TBF I honestly believe noone did.
There was just problem (still searchable on reddit) they did NOT tell us... They did month later and only because someone randomly found out on same other page.
So please don't be Donald Trump spreading fake news.

I don't see any horses and dads there in comments, do you?
Where can I contact support of Steam, mate?
I tried to solve that with the guys, but I was only insulted and banned... :/
All I carried from that was bad mood everytime I tried to somehow talk with those dudes. I was like "is it even worthy for me"... but then I was thinking maybe someone else got the same problem as me.

There is a difference between leaked and being hacked. In this case it seems Town of Salem where hacked and people stole the information.
That post was made on January 2:nd. The hack happened December 28. It's 5 days between them. Not a month later.
This is NOT the official post, mate :-)
asi I said before:
--> "...someone randomly found out on same other page" <--
This was the 'someone' guy...
They didn't scam you and they didn't leak your information. It was stolen.
Stuff like this is probably why you got banned, don’t bring politics into Steam Discussions, and don’t say something you can’t back up.
You're saying there was no official post, but there was, you being oblivious about it is not the Dev's fault. (Official post: https://www.blankmediagames.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=95378)
Immediately after this official post, an e-mail was sent out to every single registered user about the breach and to change their password.
The only time we ban people from the forums is either when they're using extreme hatespeech, or if they consistently get warned about breaking the rules, but refuse to stop. Generally it takes about 6 board warnings and 2 suspensions first.
I'll have no problem looking up what happened with your account, so if you give me your ToS username, I can check.
Where did I say that? I said there was, but way after the unofficial.
Also... the page you linked is forum. I believe you got numbers how many people actualy from the game goes to check forum and how many of them actualy saw this msg.
My humble guess is like... 1% visits forum 5% visits reddit on weekly bases? Maybe less, I don't really know...
There is lot of casual players who just go to salemtown.net and press play and don't really care what's going on in community... and those people deserved to know they were hacked too...
Also... I just wanted to warn players with my bad experience...
It's like when you buy toothbrush and it doesn't work (clean your tooth badly.. I dont know :D), so you go to the website you bought that and write review about this...
When you got good experience, you do the same thing...
I remember I promoted ToS to like 10 people before and they started playing the game with me and after I told them what happened to me, some of them stopped playing (well, they mostly played with me)... that's how it works.
