what is the damn point of putting the refund policy?
"purchases that are more than 2 weeks old or have a playtime of more than 2 hours are generally not granted a refund, but we will take a look". then steam support proceeds to ♥♥♥♥ me over by giving me an automated reply by a bot with nobody actually reviewing my reasons for a refund, closing all of my refund requests. what the actual ♥♥♥♥?

most are less than 2 hours played, 2 weeks is clearly so because i only found out about the refund system way after i gave up on a game. pretty sure it wasnt out yet when i bought these games. my point is they dont take a look if it falls out of the category even if they say they will

But they do. It's just not obvious when a refund is denied. Your reasoning simply has to be good. "I didn't know there was a refund policy back when I bought this game," isn't a good reason.

many of them did have a good reason. most of these games are no longer runnable on my computer due to me downgrading it. i wrote all that but i didnt get a different reply.

you still dont get my point do you? even when i do have a good reason they dont care, even if i am literally unable to play the game.
