I have a problem with steam downloads / games
so a few weeks ago I tried to update one of my games , dl speed was slow and I canceled the download and uninstalled the game , after I delete the game I see that the game files are still there and steam shows that the game is uninstalled and idk what to do , is that safe to remove the game files of that game/games and reinstall them or clearing steam download cache ? I don't know what is the right solution for the problem . Any help would be appreciated .

A descriptive title is helpful in that users and developers browsing the subforum can better understand the topic of your discussion.
Also, all discussions within the Steam Community User Discussion boards are searchable on Google. If a user is searching Google for help or a particular topic relating to Steam or a Steam game, a discussion thread with a descriptive title will more likely end up in a user's Google search results.

You're fine to remove the files manually. I really don't think you even need to though. You should just be able to start the download again with no issues.

Please, don't bump threads. Thanks.
Please don't give useless, off topic advice and then fail to post anything even remotely helpful. Thanks.

the thing is that the game files are in the steam folder , and it might sound stupid or silly but I'm afraid that removing game files manually will ban me or something idk really

I know that sounds silly but is that really safe ? (removing the game files manually)
I cant really get what your trying to say but here
--if your saying that you want to delete a game ... you can simply use the delete local game folder and then you can manually delete the game inside the steam folder...You wont get banned ofcourse..deleting a game will never result in to that

I will explain , I had a dl speed slowdown issue while updating a game and it was slow so I paused the update and removed the game then I see the game files of the game are NOT removed and meanwhile steam shows that the game is uninstalled and now I'm thinking what to do is clearing download cache will solve the problem ?

It's fine. You're not modifying anything, you're deleting a couple files off your pc. I've done this myself as some games can leave behind a rather large amount of crap in the Steam folder after an uninstall.

As I said though, you can just download the game again and skip that step. There is no harm either way.
