Cannot remove Free-To-Play.
I have seen this problem before, but a solution seemed to not be made. I even contacted steam, yet unfortnately the response was an automated message.

My problem is this. I have a free-to-play game I want to remove from my steam. When I go to its support page (where the option "Remove" exists usually) there is no option to remove. Just "Is this game in your library?" It is not as it is free-to-play and uninstalled. But I do not want it removed from my library (it already is) but my account (meaning removing hours played, achievements, etc). I know going to Account Licenses can allow for the game to be removed, but it does not appear. Yet, when I go to its store page, a green "ribbon" accross my screen says "This game is in your library". The problem has confused me for a week.

Here is a link to the same problem I am having by a different user:

To all who respond, thanks.

What game are you trying to remove? Have you spent any money on the in-game store?

The game "DC Universe". No, I have not purchased anything (I did play it years ago though).

This did not work. But it is very useful. Thank you. It tells me Steam cannot pick up a license on my account. Thereby it cannot remove the game because of this. Therefore the issue is simply Steam cannot find a license, not that the option to do so does not exist. I will have to discover how to find a license for a game. Does anybody know the means to do this?
It honestly sounds like the license for the game has already been removed. It's not on your licenses page, and Steam cannot find a license for it. If the game is showing up in your recently played section, just launch a few of your other games to bump it off.

Thanks. I do want it permanantly removed, so I will go to steam support about it. I may in the meanwhile do what you recommed. As a side note, how do I send a help request to steam support? I can never find the link to do it.

There is no direct link to send a message to Steam. You can click "Support" at the top of any page in a browser, or click "Help" followed by "Steam support" in the client.

I can save you some time however; Steam will not remove or reset statistics.

Thanks you have been a great help. I will wait then. Hopefully later on in the future this will be somthing Steam fixes.

Edit: Or, I may as said before, look into fixing games with missing licenses.

well back in the old days, i heard that steam could move a game (without vac ban) to a driffent account.
If you contact the support team and request for it.
However that is 8 years ago, maybe they change that option.
But it is worth a try.

I have the same problem because i want to remove TF2 from my library because of all the achivements in the game.
and i would like to have a higher % ratio on achivement done per game.
And tf2 have 520 achivements and bring the % ratio down alot.

game stats never go away.

they still do remove the game through support but it still doesnt remove the stats.

removing through a support ticket (not the remove game feature) will make it so you must purchase the game again but you get the same license (key) for the game and it still wont remove the stats.

Interesting. I have had free games I removed and it took away my stats on them.

1. Why necro?

2. The stats are still there. Bringing the license back restores them. Essentially, just hidden from sight.
