Steam Beta features -- when will they come to Stable?
I am using Steam for PC on Windows 10 OS (ver 22H2), and I am generally mostly happy with it.

I like the new Beta improvements very much -- Change log easily accessible, app icon in About screen (finally! That took a while.), bigger menus font text size.

When is this all coming to Stable version, please?
Is there any exact or approximate ETA?

There are no eta for such stuff (at least non which are announced public)
Valve will put it out when they think it is ready....

Thanks! :)
So it could be 4-5 weeks or months or years. :)

Epic Store client is vastly inferior for now, but I think they do announce most of the things planned with an approximate ETA or a version number.

Thanks! This sounds fine.

(Hopefully 2-5 weeks and not more..)

That said, the beta steam client is pretty stable. So you might want to try it rather than wait.

Cheers

A: too soon, judging by the awful changes they've shoved at us the last couple years.

The beta Steam client is still buggy. Things Not working correctly. Opted Out of the beta and Went back to the stable version.

Probably not until they get the Back button sorted out.

You think? I've seen them push out updates more broken than that.

It is why they asked for more people to test out the beta.

The stable cycle update is getting close.

And actually post bugs instead of trolling.

Those are the worst.

Already did. Liked what I saw, used Beta for a while.

Then switched back. :) Am hopeful that the product icon in About screen, better/bigger font text size for menus and the better Change Log notifications "trickle down" from Beta into Stable sooner, rather than later. :)

That was quite quick. :)
Great job Steam developers!

Official release to Stable channel happened on June 16th 2023, less than TWO weeks after my inquiry here. Nice! :-)

I was expecting it to take a bit longer, seeing as the back/forward buttons are still quite broken.
