why there is a sound when game finished downloading on steam?

Yea i don't hear any sound either. And that is a great thing. I don't need an annoying sound to tell me my download is done.

Steam> Settings> Notifications> Disable "Play a sound when a notification toast is displayed"

This will disable that little sound when downloads are done, and all other sounds whenever other notifications pop up. A temporary solution until they add a toggle for downloads.

If your Windows 10/11 OS is set to disable Notifications, this might override them being on in Steam PC client settings, I think. :)

Added playing a sound when displaying a notification toast in desktop mode

Which is what Steam does when finished with a download, gives you a toast notification.

Fun stuff, huh?

Add an option to turn off sounds for this toast notification please (as well as any others that are missing options), it's ear piercing and unnecessary. The old sound is much easier on the ears.
