STEAM NO SUPPORT ON XP AND VISTA: BUT... Questions I have?
OK. So the news is that no more suport in Windows Xp and Vista.... BUT

I am still using WIN XP, and I have very good reasons for it (its my problem), but.... I have a lot fo questions:

-> recently the screenshot function (F12) stopped workign out of nowhere, and I was looking on the web, and everyone seemed to say, to use in settings, "Steam Beta Update"
As result, yesterday I was only introduced to the counter above on Steam winodw pointing how many days I can still use Steam.
-> now, for some reason, I was logged in my account, but I was not. Steam would login with my username and password, all correct, but I wa snot able to see my profile nor my provate stuff like screenshots.
-> turned out, I changed in settings, from "Steam Beta Update" to "NONE - opt out of all beta programs", and now I can access my account fully, and that counter disapeared.

My question is:
As I can afford to change out of nowhere of OS, even if Steam will not have suport on Win XP, will I still be able to play my games? no support, ok. But can I still play my games? I payed for them, and as much as some people might say "just update your OS" that is out of question for a lot of personal reasons. Because now I feel... I wasted money for nothing.

-> Is there a way to contact STEAM Support directly, like an e-mail?
because I need a solution regarding my screenshots. I have almost 8 500 screenshots, and due to a steam bug, it got deleted from my Hard-drive, luckily, fro some strange reason I woudl alwyas upload them on my cloud account. Going one by one picture..... is gonna take a some time to get it all back. I wanted to be able to get them all at once.
"Steamgrabber" option is a no-no, as I already tried it.

Please, would spome one be kindly enough to help me with these questions of mine?

No support is no support. It's your responsibility to keep your system relevant.

that has nothing to do with my questions.
You can keep playing your games as long as the client continues to run. Have you considered switching to a Linux distro instead?

Client, you mean my account?

The program. When the program stops working under XP you won't be able to play most of your games anymore.

The program stops working, ok.
But if I keep it offline, will I be able to play my games?

also, that issue of "Steam Beta" and "NONE - opt out of all beta programs"?
I kinda feel hope about it, because the red days counter of usage is not showing anymore. so I just assume, non beta will cease for good, but... this new version... I can still use?
just saying!

You will need a newer version of Windows to run Steam/play your games.

You can't keep Steam offline forever. Your options are:

Upgrading to a newer version of Windows
Installing Linux, which is free but may limit your library depending on what you play.

Ok first of all at 2019 the Steam client is likely going to change to a new UI that will not be supported at all in the XP so its very possible the client will be completely unusable on Windows XP

If you go offline you are supposed to not get updates and be able to stay like that, even that sometimes there can be issues and it may lose it, and then you may lose the access

About screenshots, I am not aware of any way to download all of them

Was there anything else you wanted to ask about it?

Also, will you mind to tell why you remain with Windows xp? at this time XP is kind of dangers to use seeing that it gets no more updates and any hole in its security is a opening for a "Hacker" to get in and destroy it as long as its connected to the web

XP isn't that bad if you follow basic safety porecautions. SMall joke.. because so people use it, it makes a very poor target. Many of the holes exploited by most modern threats take advantage of features and routines that simply do not exist in XP.

As for why. Confluence of circumstance. Vista was a steaming Mess and 7 was pricey. Not everyone has the luxury of dumpinbg 1 month's rent on a new rig every year or so.

There was hope when MS first announced Windows 10 and we can see how that turned out...

First part, well I will point out that some companies use XP because reasons of there unique software not working on newer OS and the guy that made that code died 3 years ago, so its a do not touch do not ask cases
Something that means there is an area to attack (Just for one example I do know the cash devices in my country at least uses XP)
So there is a larger profitable to attack area right there that you can encrypt and profit from doing so

besides that I am wondering about OP

And when you say turned out what do you mean? Windows 10 did seem to improve somewhat from its first days

Those have actually been getting regular updates and those wont stop til 2021.
EU basically held MS to that. In fact there are little registry hacks you can apply to trick windows AUto update into thinking you're running one of those versions.

Yeah, improve. Care to search the steam forums for 'Windows 10 Update broke my games'.?
That and sorry but i do not use software that is built around an ideology that I find uncomfortable.
You know full well that's a false flag argument Running. You throw down in everyone of the threads here that use the same logic. "Steam broke my X. Steam caused my water to not boil! Steam opened my curtains while I was changing!"

Well I am aware of it as of the loss of Ace of Spades, but I am talking about the update from the early days of Windows 10
But that is not much of a Windows 10 issue, and for the most part as much as I know most to all games can be fixed to work on 10 just fine

What is that Ideology?
And what anyway do you use?
On top of all that I was really more of asking the OP about it to see if there is anything to help him for moving as it seem needed

Update your OS. You've had nine years to update.
