Is there a way to buy steam points without buying games?

I really want a few things from the point shop, they finally have a rainbow avatar frame and I frikken need that! But there's no games I want right now, so can I just buy points somehow?

if its not a steam item you usually have to play the game 2 hours to get that item
in the points shop as well...

not sure.. but have you checked the market
to see if the item was once sold
and still for sale... you dont need to play games to buy items off the market..

Or go to the steam trading group. There seems to be some people trading steam points for gems.

You can using trusted 3rd party sites but i would stay away from them

You can also make posts that result in you getting awards. Since every award gives you 1/3rd of the amount it cost the other guy. So 2000 pts for the Rainbow Frame would be 6000 points someone else would have to spend.

Some Steam games point stores are bugged and let you buy items even without game ownership and two hours played.

i mean if your canadian then a "gaming profile pack" that is 10k steam points costs like 130dollars, and if you only wanted it for one item because you need to buy the pack then yes thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
