Will Steam Support contact you through discord? Or is it only through Email?
Will steam support ever contact you through discord on a topic related to a possible ban due to accusations of fraudulent purchases? Then ask for purchase history? then followed up by 2FA sending me a message?

Never, it's a scam attempt.

As said in your other thread, never. It's a scam.

DragonSlayrr142 Aug 7, 2021 @ 2:19am
if i never game them my 2fa code am i safe?

As long as you don't let them do anything or follow what they say, youre' safe. They can only do something if you do what they say.

Understand this, Valve contact you ONE WAY ONLY. If you first make a support ticket. They will respond to it in time.

That's the ONLY way to talk to anyone there ever.

So yup, anyone pretending to be Valve stadd, or Valve admins, or mods, or the Valve police or whatever are LYING. No matter what they try to tell you to convince you, they are most certainly lying.

it is not even through email, you only get an email notification, if there is a reply in your requested support ticket on Steam support site.

and steam support never contacts you. they never initiate the conversation with you.

if a 2fa push notification popped up on your phone and you did not login yourself into Steam before that, then someone has your account name and password and you should change your password.

What kind of extreme levels of naive do you have to be?

Why do you think Steam Support would contact ANYONE on discord?

HOW would they know your discord handel?

Steam never contacts you about possible ban. Either you're banned or not.
Pending bans aren't a thing.

i followed up until it wanted me to input my 2fa code. thats when i stopped but they do have my account name unfortunatelty.

so like my previous question is asking, if i never gave them my 2 factor authentication code is my account safe from them?

Well, general rule of thumb is simple - assume the worst always.
Changing passwords and such never hurts.
it's a scam and speaking of which, steam staff had mentioned in their bio that they'll never contact you in discord and will not have one because of it
it's very common that it had been around for a long time.
Why the hell would support use discord?

If they want your 2FA or you have a pop up for it, then they have your account name (which you gave them in your purchase history) and they also have your password. I'd change as a matter of urgency if you haven't done it already as advised in post #7.

If you've given your credentials to any 3rd party login recently which could tie in with this incident then you will have to complete more detailed steps to ensure you are secure going forward.

8 years and not once you have bothered to read the warnings and faqs (frequently asked questions dear Mods and Support members, no reason to ban me for it because its reads as something else..)?

lol

Valve employees will never communicate with you about your account using any chat system including Steam Chat and Discord. The only way you can speak with a Steam Support agent about your account is through the Steam Support Help Site. There's no situation in which you'd need to reach out to a Valve or Steam employee directly to resolve an issue.

If someone claims they reported you accidentally or falsely, you do not need to do anything to protect your account. These claims are always fake and only meant scam you. If someone did report your account falsely, you can rest assured that Steam disregards false reports.

Anyone claiming to be a Valve employee or Steam Support representative or asking to verify your items for an investigation or security reasons should be immediately Reported.

dunno how people are on this platform for nearly a decade and don't care about anything. Do you guys know anything about contracts you sign or do you also turn the blind eye to it and then act surprised when you get a "visit" from 2 nice person with some Bats who decided to renovate your face?
