This program is blocked by group policy

Hello guys

I can't start football manager 2018 because it says the program is blocked by group policy. Other games like Portal work just fine. I must say it's a company laptop but we are free to use it at home. Only on the network of my employer we can't access steam for example.

Any way I can play fm 18 at home?

Ask you company's tech advisor why you can't play online games on their laptop.

Oh could it be because FM 18 has an online component ?

What I would like to know is if it is 100% a block put on by my employer or if it could also be a random error that could occur on a normal pc aswell .

Games that don't need to call to their online services should be ok to run.

Guess that could be why Portal does run. Unlucky for me I guess.

I would advise against using a company laptop at home for gaming purposes from the security perspective. Better keep business and private separate.

Other than that, yes, contact you sysadmin and see why it's set the way it is.
