Steam store suggests games based on what you've done on the store page. For it to suggest a lot of visual novels usually means that you've either bought a lot of them or clicked on a lot of them.
Try marking all of those games that show up for you as "Not Interested".
Doesn't work. I have tried this for visual novel and anime games and still 90% of my ques is nothing but visual novels and anime.
Even had one game show up every day that is not even for sale anymore (even has a big red warning box)but the download content is...I never bought the game so why would I want to buy the DLC for it???
Well I just skip them all together and never even look at them but yet I'm still getting slammed constantly with visual novels and anime games.....so I think this is not the case here.
This is from steam's own page if you click on the "discovery que" line under the game preview window......
How is my Discovery Queue generated?
The products in your queue are brought together from a variety of sources – new, popular, top-selling or similar to other products you have on Steam. It tries to strike a balance between prioritizing products known to be good, and new products that you may find interesting.
So by reading this and the little line under the preview window.......I am getting this in my que because it's popular or on sale or other people think it's good.......The que system needs a serious overhaul.
