What the ♥♥♥♥
Don't act like a ♥♥♥♥
Everyone understand it even with the censor !
So we have the word filter to try and raise the quality of these discussions and to quickly spot people who likes to insult people.
Lots of sites and cheat names are also in the filters. So this won't be an option.
To me it's not. Many times I've seen posts with swear word after swear word because people can't get their point across without using foul language, it isn't necessary if that person has a point and can convey that message right. Some people find that so hard to do so use language to make up for it.
It's really useful for skimming text written by very angry foulmouthed users, you can skip the hearts since it doesn't inform more than that they are upset.
Nope, civilized people do no need vulgarity to get their point through, I personally enjoy that Valve has decided that abusiv/vulgar language is against the rules and will get filtered if a user forget the rules.
There is a ton of forums and sites on the internet you can visit, if you need that kind of language.
So i like the censor very much.
same here
I just dont get when people are angry at Valve that they expect a minimum level of intelligent and courtesy from users
Because god forbid people can actually have a conversation without dropping the f bomb every second sentence
This community kind of needs it...some users tend to go beyond the line, very often.
That makes no sense to me, real life has rules, you follow them or you face the consequences.
Why should a forum be any different? If people are allowed to do however they please we'd have links posted everywhere to all shady sites with no control whatsoever.
Freedom of speech is still possible, it's not hard to make a post without foul language every other word.
im pretty sure that "valve" decided that it would be better for the community to have a censor.
