My game keeps crashing
So, I just bought this game on 11/26/23, I just got a new PC on 11/17/23. I have an Omen 40L, geforce rtx 4060, ryzen ti-7 or something like that, 16g of ram, etc. I don't know much about computers but I checked my specs and the specs required for the game and in some I match and in others I surpass. I have tired everything that everyone I know has recommended, uninstalling and reinstalling, optimizing my game and my drivers, even making a new character and it has only gotten worse. I have also tried lowing my in-game quality settings and that seemed to make it even worse. I am so confused and just want to play this game, I don't want to lose hope. What do I do?

Same Issue with an AMD Ryzen7 5700, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia 4060 Ti

Its not your computer, it is the game. For months I could play without any problems, now it crashes and sometimes doesn`t even start. Many people report this but it doesn`t change.

disable hags and see if that corrects the crashing. It worked for me. Do a search for disable hags

played for 30h, not a single crash on my rtx 3060 laptop and 7900xtx pc, both are on AMD CPU (5800h and 7800x3d).

did you OC UV your GPU/CPU/RAM?
Kambien Dec 1, 2023 @ 1:17pm
The issue is 4000 series video card. Folks have tried Nvidia drivers from November of last year to October of '23 and the game crashes the same.

The issue is no OC or CPU or RAM. Nor is it HAGS or removing your swap file if you have 32gb of RAM.

It's poorly ported to PC and requires the dev's to remediate.

My laptop with 2070 Ti runs the game perfectly, on ultra, and no crashes. Basically, if you have modern hardware the game is not stable.

well lets hope the devs haven't abandoned this game and are working on a patch

So this is kinda crazy. Someone above said the game runs fine for them BUT they do not run outside of 1080p.

I have an ultrawide gaming monitor. So I put the game in Windowed. Set the resolution to 1920x1200. Put the graphics settings on Ultra and not a single bloody crash.

Holy frick!

Interesting that it only impacts some players with 4000 series video card. Absolutely no impact for a lot of us and runs smooth and sweet. Seems odd that a bug would be picking out random Nvidia video cards and sayin "you must die now!".

When in doubt always best to blame the game so you don't have to bother figuring out anything on your end. It usually means things don't change...but also no effort required so there is that.

I think it has to do with how the engine is handling the graphics on higher resolutions. At 2k resolution or higher the game constantly crashes for me and my wife.

Then at medium graphics and 3440x1440 resolution the game constantly crashes.

Then at ultra graphics on 1080p no crashes.

This is nuts.

my 7900xtx desktop running at 1440p ultrawide with RT full options with RT set to medium.

3060 laptop is the one on 1080p. basically no crash as of yet, 30 hours gameplay

Thanks for this bit on insight.

Running at 1080p the game runs perfectly at Ultra. It's not my preferred way to play but man at least the game is running without crashing now.
