Apparently Paramount owning the movie rights prevents ships from the two latest movies from being used in STO. This is why the Tal'Shiar ships kind of look like the Narada, but no ships that look exactly like the Narada.

But that's just what I heard, grain of salt on that one.

There is a lot of legal red tape with licenses and ownership and all that.

They did get a workaround with the Adapted Tal'Shiar ships because the Vault that built the Narada exists in the "Prime Universe". Likewise, we may see the Vulcan Jellyfish that Spock used at some point. However, ships like the Vengece and the JJ Enterprise are highly unlikely to be allowed in STO.

It'd be pretty easy to make a mock-up of them, though. Both ships use traditional design aspects of the Enterprise.

More to the point, Star Trek Online is set in the original universe, not the Abrams universe. A crossover doesn't really fit into the game. The plot is still there though - the whole 'Hobus supernova' destroying Romulus is the centre point of the current season. And the game's lore even mentions Spock and Nero disappearing during the disaster.

Yeah, that would be just a bit weird. "This ship was designed in secret at a space dock near Mars...in another dimension!"

Can't. The STO license is through CBS, not Paramount, and Paramount owns the rights to the new movie designs.
