avoid this game if you know whats good for you especially since last dreadnaught farce

They released a Jem`hadar Dreadnaught carrier but only mentioned in the fine print u need to own a Jem hadar attak bugg ship worth 300-2000usd wich is extremly limited on the server. to get the frigate hangar slots wich is more or less needed to use this carrier.
stay away tbh // long sto veteran.
if things are continiueing this way u will see more half made ships makeing it out that forces you to buy other ships to make them complete.

The ship is by no means mandatory and few people are likely to ever fly the Jem Dread.

At the end of the day, you can play all of the content in this game without spending a dime. These 'Collector's Items' are how Cryptic pays their bills.

as a free player, your criticism is lost on me. As a paying player you seem to have forgotten the cardinal rule of the consumer: buyer beware - you shot your own foot, as you yourself are reporting there IS fine print and you convict yourself by admitting you didn't read it FIRST. Its a good game, if you like sci-fi or star trek then you should enjoy it. The bottom line is this: If you want to not pay any money at all and still get cool stuff it is possible but you have to GRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND a lot. Or, if you have some money you can buy the odd thing here and there which makes your life easier and the game much more enjoyable. However, its not pay to win, theres nothing you can buy that will change the game radically. Just some cool stuff. Children and tight people need not apply, see reference original poster of this thread.

You fail to mention that the Dreadnought is very much capable of being equipped with all the other carrier pets though, so its hardly a half-finished ship. Its got its hangars and it they work. Yes the bug fighters require the super expensive playable version. However, its hardly a necessity unless you are a hardcore min-max PVP player. For any other purpose, the Dreadnought is one of the best carriers you can have, even without all its special items.

The J'H Dreadnought Carrier works just fine with my Advanced Peregrine Fighters..:)

yeah but its not a frigate class hangar and not really matching to the ship.
frigate class hangars are essential for high performance.

Should also be concerned about what you carry on your ship. For example, some people like having runabouts on it because of the tractor beams. High performance is still iffy, imo at least.

Frigate classes are hardly essential for high performance. In fact, it is commonly accepted and tested with combat parsers that the best hangar pets (DPS wise) are:
1. Elite Scorpion Fighters
2. Advanced Slavers
3. Advanced Peregrines

Currently the JHAS pets arent even that good, let alone essential or high performance. Id much rather have the B'Roth Birds if I could and if I HAD to use a frigate.

Haha considering the damn thing looks like it turns slower than a bortasqu ship set etc i dont want r need one also as the other s say u dont need the latest bought ships too enjoy it...
And again..... if u have a good fleet u can always sort summin out either a good fleet bought ship for 20 k fleet points or one that someone has put into ur fleets bank as we do....
true it wont be a dreadnaught carrier but a new ship once in a while s always nice....

No afence to your post, but that has nothing to do with why not to play the game? The Jem'hadar Attack ship (aka. Bug Ship) is a very very very rare ship. However, you can still kill it in PvP if it breaks from the group makin it a glass cannon. Healers make it powerful.

the ships are cool but i have better ships then them. My Vesta and Oddy are ten times better and more fun to play with. PvP is broken still and will not get a face lift till next year. So i play with my fleet and the PvEs. I still love the game.

Play the game and you will love it. I can tell you that even the Fleet ships are op, too. The best part, you do not have to spend real money to get them. Just play the game to get them. Fleet ships are better then the VA ships out their. Though the Oddy and the Vesta are one of the best packs to buy. Andorian now so much, unless you really want it. If you are looking for PvP more you don't need the bug ship. The definite is a beast and can cloak. Oddys can tank in pvp and heal their teammates. or anyship that is spec right can do good in pvp.

Don't put the game down because you can get a bug ship silly....

klingons has been shafted for 3 years now no content.
Constant promises of updates to buggs.
stuff like that.
but yes if they keep on makeing half ships that require other ships to function = bad stuff.

Ps i could buy an attack bugg but that dont justify doing harm to community by doing stupid things that cryptic does.

The Dreadnought works without the attack bugs. The Jemmie fighters are good even with a JHEC; believe me, I own one. You don't need the Bugships to enjoy the Dreadnought.
