[How To] Zoom Out

Hi there,

I wanted to share a discovery I made for those who aren't aware this is possible. Perhaps it is already known, but I honestly couldn't find a single post about it other than a "Zoom Out" post for users with a widescreen directed towards a program where you need to press F3 / F4 to increase or decrease zoom. A program that for most, including me, doesn't work.

So what does work?

Initially I found out about this program because it would allow a user to gain access to a free camera allowing you to roam about the beautifully crafted world of the Ascent as you would in from a first person perspective.

Keep in mind, this doesn't turn the game into an FPS.

Now this program comes with another great tool, namely the ability to change the field of view. After using the tilde key type fov followed by the number that changes the field of view in degrees.

Default = fov 60
Recommended = fov 90

90 field of view really allows you to see much more of the map and it provides you with the opportunity to actually target enemies that would normally attack you from beyond your default field of view. This setting comes with the added bonus of that you're now able to fully utilize some of the weapons their much longer range.
