you do realize that in infinite mode there is no winning right? it goes on until you die

i know but it's not infinite when you can't pass 60 or 70 week, they are option for 1 and 2 years, it's simply impossible to go so far, cause heroes lvl up way faster then our monster.

I'm in year 15 or 16 with the engineer ...
Level up your traps, not your monsters.

there are a few screenshots of people who got to day 2000 and stuff. Its not easy, i am struggling to, but that's the challenge.
I do reccomend doing what the post above me said:

well trap work worse than monster, all the vidéo i see are few month old, the difficulty is COMPLETLY different now, test the game now you will see.

I am playing the game rn, i don't know about difficulty months ago since i didn't own this game back than. For me its all oke, like i said, im struggling to, but its doable and i get further in with each infinite mode i start.

2% people finish the game with engineer it's writte on steam statistique, infinite mode is far far far more difficult
Central May 14, 2021 @ 3:06am
its 2.9%, and its only 3.8% for the enchantress.
Even the slaveholder has only 14.3%

Seriously, level up traps, the ballista is especially strong if you combo it.
You can combo it with things like the gnome technician, upgraded skeleton scientists, stuff like that.
again there is no winning in endless mode, its just a challenge to see how far you can get, that's he challenge.
Menhir May 14, 2021 @ 5:38am
already did, baliste + gnome + mantis + skeleton, but some boss don't care about that.
AndreanDW May 14, 2021 @ 7:06am
My build is: gnome and energy converter (leveled up as much as possible), 3 mantis and one roaster within each room, additional mantisses at home. With the barriere mantis and roaster do a lot of damage, mantis with physical damage, roaster fire damage, both AoE damage - one of them alone can often kill all remaining heroes. You only need to ruin the armor especially of the back hero which can be done by the tower.
I sometimes have 10K barriere, on monsters or boss, and do something like 4K AoE damage with each unit, and have the artefact that removes HP when hitting the barriere.
btw my units have something like 250 HP, the enemies 10K HP, and the traps do (with some preparation) around 10K per shot (sometimes I have 10 shots - could be 13 when I use the 2nd room).

i did a good run, but for 3 week i didn't get any improvement for trap, the luck part is important
Monsters like the flame eater are top tier for endless as it can instantly activate all of the burn affects on heroes so if you have the first group of monsters all cast burn on the heroes, the flame eater will almost instakill them when they get to him. Artifacts like the miraculous pill and rallying banner/ catapult seat are good for that strategy.

Other monsters like the kamigoblins are very strong if you have artifacts like the cheerleader's pom pom, catapult seat, and bewitching glove. Just level 1 kamigoblin every chance you get and his suicide attack can almost kill everyone except for the heavy fire resistant enemies due to the attack and the burn damage afterwards. It's best to spam three kamigoblins in the first room with one very high leveled kamigoblin and the others at level 4. You want to have as many monsters as possible because there is an event that lets you extract blood or tears that scales with how many monsters you have at the cost of one moral.

Another strategy is to keep reloading until you start with the devouring whip for the slavemaster. You can scale faster than the heroes if you always go for master's bonus after dungeons and always buff him when he works out. The twobird stone artifact is recommended to use.

There are also trap strategies for the engineer if you have the skeleton scientists and the mantis. Get the trap artifacts and spam the two mentioned units and you'll be destroying heroes with the balista trap.

You want to always pick events (to get master power), business trips (for blood/tears and artifacts) and workouts to increase your master's stats). Every now and then the merchant is good to spam buy some units as the event for taking blood/ tears from your monsters scales higher.

ok trap work good i did a 3 years run, but couldn't improve trap for few week, and i fall on a team with 65 to 70 physical resist, one mob was able to survive to boss with 30% hps, but it was enought to kill my boss.
AndreanDW May 15, 2021 @ 2:39am
You will see heroes with 95% or 100% physical resist so you need a backup plan ... ^^
