Or you could build a safari zoo with a minecart track Dorfs can ride while they view all the captured wildlife.
Build two high speed mine tracks that point towards each other, with 3 tiles between. Launch minecarts with water off one and magma off the other. See if you can make it rain obsidian blocks when they collide mid air. I doubt it, but someday I'm going to try it with pumps, not minecarts just in case.

1: Magma sprayer 'gun'

5: and moving stone and magma from far away to the fortress
