[RESOLVED] Randomly failing on Star Stealer challenge?

I'm trying to complete the Star Stealer challenge, but I keep failing the mission randomly when some other solar systems lose their stars. I'm meanwhile nowhere near the systems, with all my stars intact. My only guess is that it could be a bug related to respawning, but I'm not sure. Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Nevermind, it seems like if you're too close to a star system, you run the risk of momentarily "stealing" a star, even if it immediately turns back to the original owner. It's safer to sit back and watch the other systems collide and pick off projectiles.
