Regarding THQ Nickelodeon licenses
The news about a year ago mentioned that THQ Nordic got the license for a bunch of Nickelodeon licenses, including SpongeBob. My question is, is this only for the THQ spongebob games, or will this also extend to the Activision titles like "SpongeBob HeroPants"? I'm sure they're at least focused on the old THQ catalog, what with having 50-80 games "in development" according to a report, so I'm just curious.

Just because they have the licenses for nickelodeon games, it does not mean they can touch another companies games. They can make another game, sure. But not touch anothers.

So the license only covers THQ games and new entries? I thought it meant that Activision, etc, would relinquish game rights as well, but from what I understand Activision owns the game part of HeroPants, and can rerelease it with a different skin if they so desire.

So that means the Activision games cannot be touched? Guess we're not getting SpongeBob PRR or Heropants: The Good Editions.

How many spongebob games were there by Activision, just two? If THQ is just planning on porting older games and not make anything new with the licenses, grabbing the Activision games would make a lot of sense. Then again, those games were made during the twilight years of licensed console (home consoles, handheld consoles, and PC, despite PC not getting them) games, now they're almost exclusively mobile games. Will THQ make new games for consoles based on these licenses?
