Microsoft Maquette
change alpha / opacity / transparency of material
It would be nice if you added an alpha channel to your color/material picker so I don't have to import objects just to get transparency.
Great work on the tool.
Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Material support is on our radar and we'll keep that in mind in our future work.

Hello Dan,

How do you get transparency when importing objects? Im' using 3ds max. When I make an object transparent (by visibility or material) and then export it to FBX to get it into maquette nothing happens. no transparancy in maquette. The only transparancy I get is when i make the object totally invisible in 3ds max, then it also shows invisible in maquette.
I see transparency in objects I import from Google Poly and Sketchfab. I've had very limited luck creating transparent effects via SketchUp (my preferred tool). I think some of this has to do with the way "transparency" is handled in real-time tools like Unity, where it's a result of information in various texture maps + shaders, as opposed to intrinsic to the object.

Thanks Dan for the reply.
