The player count is the major issue and people playing smurf accounts, and playing 'above' their new, basic stats, or others not playing close to their rating (for whatever reason).
Trying to close match a set of randoms is hard enough, but peoples expectations of some sort of 'magic' it's supposed to be able to do is ridiculous.
I hope this game goes up in flames. It has lost 20% of its playerbase on steam every month so this wants my heart.
yes, they are probably sweating already all the time because they know they are not gonna last long anymore
warms my heart too
You either get Europeans who scream into their mic, while simultaneously saying they aren't mad, or you get the zoomers who speak through so much vocal fry you can't understand a word they say unless it's the word "bot", which somehow gets said every few minutes.
Very bizarre. What a dead end.
The problem is virtually everyone who is extremely bad is playing normals. When someone extremely bad steps into ranked they get shat on and bullied back to normals. They would probably have queue times of 30+ minutes if they waited for a full lobby of bronze, unranked and silver. We probably do need to be nicer to the terrible players to encourage them to stick around in ranked so there are more of them to play with each other.
After I told them my opinion, on discrod I got banned too.
Thats what happens when a bunch of indie no names try to create a pvp game in the genre which is probably the most hard to balance out of them all.
i really wished the game was good, but its not.
thats why almost no one plays it.
Too many alternatives which are actually good.
league and dota for mobas.
shooter games are also plenty.
hero shooters like overwatch are also better
Paragon back then was literally better in its worst patch than this is now
It is NOT the MM. It's a variety of factors:
- Players playing smurfs, thus "low stats/good players" = imbalanced matches
- Players not always playing as well as their stats (perhaps due to an unfamiliar hero)
- Players sometimes playing much better than their stats (perhaps on a certain hero)
- People with poorer skills that are grouped will be matched against players not grouped who may be better (including notes about smurfs, above)
The MMR is only based on STATISTICS and coming up with a general, rough value of a players skill level...as an approximation...and in combination with 4 other players, can lead to an unbalanced match, even though based on numbers that look reasonable.
