Xbox controller not working

I have a Xbox One controller, which does not work on the demo, is that correct, that the game has no native controller support?

my x1 controller works fine, I have the wireless receiver for PC, I'm not using it via Bluetooth

It doesn't work because you don't own the game. It needs to be launched through Steam or Epic as it uses their xinput API's. There are ways around this, but I'm not looking to get banned, so you're on your own.

Well I own the game and it doesn't work with my xbox 360 gamepad, so what's your theory now?

Both Heavy Rain and Detroit picked it up, not sure why it doesn't work with Beyond...

right button on the game name at Steam and change controller configuration to "default controller". It worked for me

it works for me on my Elite Series 2. I'm also using the program "reWASD" which changes a bit the way your controller is detected so maybe that helped?

It doesn't work for Xbox wireless controller (2020) and Windows 10.

The controller available in the system and I can use it to play other steam games.

Yeah, I just got a Xbox Controller and I got scared. The game doesn't detect it. It turns out that you need to open Steam. Right click on your game there. Then click on "Properties..." and go to "Controller" tab. In there, set to "Use default settings". If you use "Enable Steam Input" then you must configure the controller in "Steam > Settings > Controller > GENERAL CONTROLLER SETTINGS". This worked for me.
