Above all if you are going to put an end, once and for all, on this game, forever, what about making it free? I mean licensing it under GPL or some other free license, at least your code and assets, with just instructions on how to use the 3rd party assets used by you to let eventually someone other to go on with this game development?

I hope things are okay for you. The game is good as is, and while we appreciate your love and dedication to the project, your life has to come first.

Though I have always looked forward to the 1.0 release, I get the impression the terms of it are less than ideal. I know the Unity snafus (thanks worthless CEO) must have spawned some grey hairs. Nonetheless, am glad you seem to be in a better place than wherever/whatever it was before. Also, though ideally I might hope for post 1.0 indulgences, nothing lasts forever, and nobody can remain chained to X, Y or Z forever.

I don't mind the idea of the base game just being a sandbox, and actual stories within it coming from the community via mods, just hope the community is up to the challenge...

Just in case you're interested in the few bucks, the game is no longer available in the German shop because you didn't specify an age rating.

Hey, you've made an amazing game and even AAA companies often can't say that, so don't feel bad about your decision. You have to take care of you first, I learned that when I owned my own business and gave it everything I had for so long I"ll never recover physically or financially.

And some day, if you start to miss it, your fans will still be here. Thanks for all your work, it's given thousands of hours of enjoyment to many people.
